Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 10 July 2025
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the agreement between you (the “Client” or “Family”) and Sorrento Education, a UK-registered educational consultancy. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Services Provided
Sorrento Education offers professional, unbiased guidance for UK and US university and boarding school admissions. Our services are structured into the following categories:

2. Fees and Payment Terms
2.1 Fees
Fees are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) and provided in your service proposal, invoice, or during initial consultation. As pricing varies by package and scope, it is not published publicly.
2.2 Payment Schedule
For services beyond a single session (e.g. Strategic Insight Session or Boarding School Strategy Session), clients may opt to pay in agreed instalments. These will be confirmed in your invoice or service agreement and may be tied to specific dates or project milestones.
Services begin upon receipt of the first payment. We reserve the right to pause services if payments are missed.
2.3 Payment Methods
We accept payment via:
Secure online payment (Stripe)
Bank transfer
We do not currently accept payment via third-party mobile platforms (e.g. LINE Pay, WeChat Pay).
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate, timely information and documentation
Communicate honestly and participate actively
Ensure that all submitted application materials reflect the student's own original work
Accept that final decisions on admission rest with the institutions, not Sorrento Education
4. Our Responsibilities
We commit to:
Providing expert, impartial advice in line with our professional standards
Delivering services as outlined in your package
Maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with our Privacy Policy
5. Academic Integrity
Sorrento Education upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. We support students through guidance, strategy, and feedback — but we do not write, ghostwrite, or complete any part of an application on a student’s behalf.
We do not facilitate or encourage the misuse of AI tools in any way that compromises authenticity.
All submitted work must reflect the student’s own voice, values, and abilities.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations
We offer guidance, not guaranteed results. Admissions decisions are made solely by institutions.
We are not responsible for changes in admissions policies, visa regulations, testing procedures, or actions by third parties.
While we strive for accuracy, clients are encouraged to confirm details directly with institutions.
7. Confidentiality
All information shared during the course of service will be treated as confidential and handled securely, in line with our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials, frameworks, and resources provided by Sorrento Education remain our intellectual property. Clients are granted a limited licence to use these materials solely for personal application purposes.
9. Term and Termination
9.1 Term
The term begins when the first payment is received and continues until the services are complete or the application cycle ends.
9.2 Termination by Client
Clients may terminate services at any time in writing.
9.3 Termination by Sorrento Education
We reserve the right to terminate services if a client:
Fails to pay on time
Does not provide necessary information
Engages in dishonest or abusive behaviour
Written notice will be provided.
9.4 Financial Implications
Refunds, if any, will be issued in line with Section 10. Fees for services already delivered are non-refundable.
10. Cancellation and Refund Policy
10.1 Cooling-Off Period
You may cancel within 7 calendar days of payment for a full refund, provided no services have commenced. A USD $100 administrative fee will be deducted.
Once services begin (e.g. a consultation or review has taken place), this right no longer applies.
10.2 Strategy Sessions
Strategic Insight Sessions and Boarding School Strategy Sessions must be paid for in full at the time of booking. These are non-refundable once the session is confirmed and work has begun.
10.3 Tiered Packages (Targeted, Comprehensive, Elite)
Payment Structure
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total fee is required to reserve your place
The remaining 70% may be paid upfront or via agreed instalments
Refund Terms
Within 7 days of payment and before services begin: Full refund minus $100 admin fee
After services begin:
30% deposit is non-refundable
A partial refund of the remaining balance may be offered based on work already completed
After 30 calendar days from service start date: Entire fee becomes non-refundable
10.4 Standalone Services
Standalone services are non-refundable once they have started. If cancelled within 7 days and no work has commenced, a refund may be issued, minus the administrative fee.
10.5 Signature Solutions
Due to the highly bespoke nature of these services, cancellation and refund terms are outlined individually in your service agreement. In general, a non-refundable deposit is required, and no refund is available once customised planning has begun.
10.6 Exceptional Circumstances
In serious cases (e.g. family emergency, illness), we will review refund requests case by case. Partial refunds may be granted at our discretion.
10.7 Refund Process
All refund requests must be made in writing. Approved refunds will be processed within 30 business days to the original payment method.
11. Communication
11.1 Channels
Email and scheduled meetings (Zoom or in-person) are the primary modes of communication. Urgent matters may be handled via LINE or WhatsApp.
11.2 Response Times
We aim to respond within 24–48 business hours. During periods of travel or high demand, delays may occur. We will notify clients of any extended response times in advance where possible.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally. If no resolution is reached, both parties may consider mediation before pursuing legal action.
13. Changes to These Terms
Sorrento Education reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and are effective upon publication. Continued use of our services confirms your acceptance of any changes.
